People used to want simplicity from grills. If they could set a few Steaks on there and enjoy some juicy Burgers, the average consumer was as happy as a Pig in mud. Believe me, I used to want the same thing from my grill. Fast-forward decades later and we want more. We want choice. We want to Grill practically anything to perfection. Which led to the rise in Ceramic and Kamado grills. This is traditional Japanese cooking, so we’re talking thick material to recreate the insulation the Japanese got from Clay, fast cook times, and high heat. It’s the material used in these Grills that decides everything. The amount of insulation you get is of paramount importance and the Akorn Kamado Jr is a triumph of design. Super-thick 22 gauge triple-walled Steel covers a deep Egg-shaped unit, which isn’t beautiful but it’s hugely functional. It’s really the only Grill on the market at a reasonable price which gives you the kind of insulation the traditional Japanese chefs got from Clay. So it reaches temperatures of 700 degrees. Yes I said that – 700 degrees. Meaning you get incredibly fast cook times for all sorts of things like Burgers, Hotdogs, Steaks, Vegetables and Ribs. With that outstanding moist, clay taste too. It’s like you own a Clay Oven. And you can Smoke on this as well. Simply put down the Lid and turn the temperature down to 225 degrees. Now you’ve got a Pizza Oven. Turn that temperature down further and you’re Smoking meat. You get Ceramics on the inside for balanced PH levels and healthier results, plus a warming rack. 153 Inches of cooking space could have been bigger but you’re thinking more about the next slice of heaven you’ll get eating because you own this. George Foreman GRP4842P Multi-Plate Evolve Grill Review

This is completely different than the previous. Its Ceramics used for an entirely different purpose. But this Grill was equally revolutionary. On the face of it, it looks like you’ve got a basic George Foreman Indoor Grill. It’s a typical Foreman build, with a large Lid, sloped Grates and minimalist design. But, and this is a big but. It’s cheap at around 90 Dollars and they’ve thrown in these wonderful Ceramic Grates. If you close the Lid completely, you get nice insulation, a moist Hibachi taste and that juicy Clay flavor. Best foreman on the market. It’s small, so you can cook for a family of four but no more than that. Although it does come fully-assembled and it comes with Adjustable Hinges. These allow you to place the Grill flat to make beautiful Sandwiches and Panini’s. It’s also comes with a Waffle Plate which makes decent Waffles and outstanding Eggs and Pancakes. Fire Sense Large Yakatori Charcoal Grill Review

At just 40 Dollars it’s the cheapest Grill on here. It’s also symbolic of a new and more competitive market in the budget ranges because 5 years ago you wouldn’t have got Ceramics at anywhere near this price. Like with most Ceramic grills you’ll use less Charcoal because Ceramics burn more efficiently. And you still get that wonderful fire Pit flavor. The temperature reaches 500 degrees without the need for an extra Sear button like the one on the George Foreman. And the Foreman only hits 500 degrees for 90 seconds whereas you can cook at 500 on this right the way through if you like. There’s even some nice little clips on the Grates to hold food in the position you need it in. This is especially good for Hotdogs. You get the terrific insulation associated with Ceramic Grilling and the fast cook time. Burgers can be done in under 10 minutes and there’s hardly any warm up time. The only things stopping the Fire Sense from rising further up the list were the Vents which didn’t work, the lack of versatility and the Grates which could have been thicker Steel, Cast-iron or Ceramics. Instead of producing wonderful Grates they went all-in with the outstanding Ceramic base and it worked out for them. Final Thoughts

Did I deliver a memorable a Top Three Best List of Ceramic or Kamado Grills or what? It’s comes down to what you like and what you’re looking to cook. Any one of these will Grill food with that insulated Clay cooked taste Japanese cuisine is famous for. And for a very cheap price. In the case of the Yakatori you’re only paying around 40 Dollars. Certainly, the Akorn Kamado Jr provide the most insulation and the finest foods in terms of juiciness and Searing quality. There’s a more authentic Clay Hibachi taste and that’s down to the money they spent on the Egg-Shaped builds. We’re talking thick Steel and thick Cast-Iron but the price is higher too than numbers three to five. The Foreman is clearly the most versatile, and so it’ll make Waffles, Pancakes, Eggs, Cupcakes and all types of Meats. Basically, it’ll Grill almost anything.  But not everyone is after an indoor Grill. And, you get less space on the Foreman’s. Meanwhile, the Yakatori is a great all-round Grill. It doesn’t have the versatility of the Foreman’s and it doesn’t have the taste of  the Akorn Kamado Jr. But, it’s simple to use, cheap, and if you’re a Meats and Vegetables buyer who doesn’t necessarily want to make Pizza’s or Pancakes then you’ll consider it well worth the money.
